1. Introduction
Olatunde Daudu & Co. ("the Firm", "we", "us") is a firm of Legal Practitioners and Notary Public with offices at 101–103 Ijede Road, Cele Bustop, near AP filling station, Ikorodu, Lagos, Nigeria. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information submitted through this website, in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, the Legal Practitioners Act, and the Rules of Professional Conduct for Legal Practitioners.
2. Information We Collect
When you complete a consultation or intake form we collect your name, telephone number, email address, the practice area of your enquiry, the case details you choose to provide, and your preferred consultation slot. We may also collect documents you voluntarily send us, and limited technical data such as your browser type and the pages you visit.
3. How We Use Your Information
Information is used to assess your enquiry, carry out conflict-of-interest checks, schedule and conduct your consultation, provide legal services where you instruct us, comply with statutory obligations including anti-money laundering and know-your-client requirements, and maintain our internal records. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for unsolicited marketing.
4. Confidentiality
All communications with the Firm are treated as confidential. Information shared before a retainer is signed is still handled in confidence, but please note that submitting a form does not, by itself, create an attorney-client relationship. Avoid sending highly sensitive material until we have confirmed that we can act for you.
5. Disclosure to Third Parties
We disclose information only where necessary: to counsel or experts retained on your matter, to court registries and regulatory bodies where your instructions require it, to our secure technology providers who host this website and its database, or where disclosure is compelled by law or court order.
6. Data Security and Retention
Intake submissions are stored in an access-controlled database available only to authorised personnel of the Firm. Records are retained for as long as required to serve you and to satisfy our professional, tax, and statutory record-keeping duties, after which they are securely destroyed.
7. Your Rights
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask for corrections, request deletion where we are not obliged to retain it, or withdraw consent to further contact. Requests may be sent to Dauduolatunde@gmail.com and will be answered within a reasonable period.
